Nokia has unveiled a new range of handsets, called Touch and Type. Combining a touch-screen with a 4x3 hard keypad, the Nokia X3 Touch and Type is the first of the range. Measuring just 9.6mm thick, the Nokia X6 Touch and Type comes in five different colours giving a vibrancy that is sure to appeal to the younger consumer. However, this is also a feature packed device, with 3G, WLAN and a five-megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom for both still photos and video recording.
With Nokia's Ovi services on board, consumers will have access to thousands of apps from the Ovi Store, be able to set up their own Ovi email account, as well as receive push notifications for more consumer email and chat accounts via Nokia Messaging.
Nokia has also announced that in some markets, the X3 Touch and Type will come with Ovi Music Limited, providing unlimited music downloads from the Nokia Music Store. Whether this will include the UK we'll have to wait and see, but with a launch date of Q3 we shouldn't have to wait long.
The Nokia X3 Touch and Type is expected to retail for EUR 125, excluding taxes and subsidies.
