If we were to take a guess at what Virgin Media's favourite colour was, we'd go for pink. The MVNO has announced its second 'pink' handset in as many months. The Alcatel VM202 will arrive on Virgin Media a month before any of their competitors, with Virgin also securing the exclusive 'Dazzle Pink' colour. With both a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a more traditional 3x4 keyboard, as well as a £29.99 price tag, Virgin Media will be hoping to entice the young text generation.
Virgin Media is also boxing the VM202 with a free 1GB memory card, so those teenie boppers will be able to store their latest floor banging tunes on their phone. There's also shortcuts to Facebook, Twitter and Instant Messenger, while you'll also be able to pick up your email from accounts including Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo!
The VM202 will be available soon from Virgin Media stores and online at www.virginmedia.com for £29.99, which will include 300 free texts when bought with £10 pay-as-you-go airtime.
