Earlier today, LG launched the Wink range - and in the rest of the world, that's the name under which LG will sell its new teen-friendly smartphones. But in the UK, Wink has been given the boot in favour or the more familiar Cookie name. I think we can all guess why.Available in the UK from September, the new Cookie smartphones are, as you might expect, touchscreen phones that want to get down with the kids, with three models available at launch - the Cookie, Cookie Style and Cookie 3G.According to TechRadar, the LG Wink is the entry-level handset, with a 2.4-inch display, microSD slot, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone slot and a 'fun, cartoon-styled user interface'. Doesn't tell you much, so we can perhaps presume that the remaining features don't exactly get the pulse racing. The LG Wink Style adds a larger screen to the basic specification that the entry-level phone offers, along with different colour options and accents on the front button panel. Finally, as you might have deduced by the name, the LG Wink 3G offers a faster 3G connection speed, those same colour options and not a lot else.Prices are still to be confirmed. We suspect 'cheap' would be a good guess though.
