Samsung Galaxy Q leaks online

The Samsung Galaxy S was reviewed by us at the start of the month, picking up an impressive five-star rating, not least for its super-sharp AMOLED display - which is also a feature of the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Q.

But the Galaxy Q looks to be a very different beast to the Galaxy S. Yes, it is an Android phone, running Android 2.2 at launch if the Techwatch speculation is true. But that AMOLED screen is just 3 inches in size, making space for a QWERTY keyboard on the 'candybar' handset, which is though to resemble a BlackBerry Bold. No pictures sadly as yet, so we'll just have to imagine a Bold running Android for an idea of how that looks.

Other features in the leaked document include a 1GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video capability, a 1-megapixel front facing camera and 16GB of internal storage.

No news on a launch date, with the phone not mentioned on the mobile phone roadmap we mentioned a couple of weeks back. But with concrete details already doing the rounds, we suspect a launch isn't too far away.
