When Apple offered free bumpers for its iPhone 4 antenna problem, the company also mentioned that the white iPhone 4 was imminent. Sadly, that's not the case anymore. In a new statement by the company, Apple said: 'White models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.'So 'later this year', which doesn't give much away. So we'll presume it's later rather than sooner. Apple has said that the availability of the black isn't affected, but stock is still thin on the ground, so the lack of white does put more pressure on the black model's stock. We can't see why it's such a hard job creating a white cladding compared to black, but it obviously is, judging by this ongoing delay. Will it really be worth the wait? Probably not. After all, it's still the same phone.
