We knew it was coming, having been privy to a prototype back in April, but now the ZTE Racer is official. Exclusive to 3, the ZTE Racer is available for the rather appealing price of £99.99, the operator's first Android handset to be under £100. However, despite its entry-level price point, the ZTE Racer runs on Android 2.1 (Eclair), which took us by surprise. This means ZTE Racer users will be able to enjoy multi-touch capability, voice to text in all text fields, a 3D photo gallery and 'live' wallpapers.
Other features found on the ZTE Racer include a 2.8-inch resistive QVGA touch-screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 256MB of internal memory, Bluetooth and 7.2Mbps HSDPA capabilities. And let's not forget, being a Google Android phone, consumers will be able to pimp up their ZTE Racer with a host of apps from the Android market, including Facebook, Spotify, Twitter and a host of games and navigational programs.
The ZTE Racer will be available from the end of this month exclusively to 3 for £99.99 on prepay.
