APP WATCH: eBay offers selling app for iPhone

Not content with a general buying app for the iPhone, eBay has now launched a selling app, pretty much doing away with the need for a PC to get your sales online.

If you have the right item, it's incredibly quick too. Why? Well, you can base your sales on past items sold. So, for example, if you have a CD or console game, the app will search current or past sales, so you can base your sale on one of those, pre-filling the fields. All you need to do is tweak the detail.

If you have something more substantial, let's say a set of drawers or an armchair, that might take a little longer. But it still makes life easy. Take a photo of it with the iPhone's camera, upload from your phone, enter the details on the handset and set your price and policies. Yes, you can even sort out payment info, whether you accept returns and promote your auction via your contacts and social networks.

If you want to really get up close and personal with it, check out this video on YouTube produced by eBay. At the end of it, you might be as excited as the man doing the presentation.
