Looking for a white iPhone 4? You're not alone as there's none around. Why? Well, Apple has gone public with a sort of explanation.According to a statement from the company's PR team, there will be no white iPhone 4 handsets until mid-July. Who knows - we could be waiting even longer in the UK. The statement says that 'white models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected' and 'as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.'Of course, that would be fine if you could find a black model to take its place, but with demand high, it's not so easy to grab an alternative shade. According to Pocket Lint and its 'reliable sources', just 16,000 made it to the UK for launch day, ways down on the estimated 50,000+ that were expected to make it to these shores.Restocks aren't expected anytime soon either. Tesco, which had a bumper day at its stores, is saying 'the end of July' for more stock, while Vodafone isn't planning on restocking its stores anytime soon. If you want one, you'll just have to pre-order with your network of choice and hope for the best. Or hope the likes of Three and T-Mobile is keeping stock back for their own launches in the coming days.
