Virgin and Nokia offer up V Festival edition handsets

Ok, once Glastonbury is over, thoughts will turn to the next big festivals on the British calendar, including the V Festival, which is coming your way over 21st and 22nd August at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire. Why are we talking about it? Well, because the festival's sponsors, Virgin Media, has teamed up with Nokia to produce two special 'V' edition mobile phones.

According to Mobile Today, those handsets are both available from July, specifically the Nokia 5230V and Nokia X6V, which will both be pre-loaded with the V Festival app and plenty of festival-related goodies to keep you amused between bands, beers and burgers.

The Nokia 5230V is a touchscreen number with custom V Festival red back cover and 10 free music tracks available through the Nokia Music Store. The Nokia X6V has a 5 megapixel camera, a music player including mixing software and built-in speakers. Both also come with free sat nav (using Ovi Maps), V Festival wallpaper, Shazam music identifier and of course, the app, which throws in festivals news and updates, plus social networking integration.

The price of the Nokia X6V is priced from £15 per month, with the phone thrown in for free, while the Nokia 5230V goes from £10 per month, again with the phone free.
