App Watch: SUBWAY launches loyalty scheme

If you’re partial to the odd visit to fast food chain Subway you may want to download their new SUBCARD Loyalty app to your iPhone. Users will be able to collect loyalty points using the 2D SUBCARD barcode that is downloaded to their handset, using them to purchase free subs once they’ve earned enough. For every 10p spent, customers will earn themselves one point. With 500 points, Subway fans will be able to get a free six-inch sub, while 1,000 points will mean they can feast on a free Footlong Sub. The iPhone app also enables users to track their nearest Subway store with the aid of the on-board A-GPS while they’ll also be able to track their balance and transaction history.

Non-iPhone users will also be able to take advantage of Subway’s loyalty scheme so long as their phone is Java enabled. Users should either text 85185 or visit m.subway.co.uk in their mobile browser. The iPhone app is available for free from the Apple App Store.
