Samsung unveils the budget Champ handset

Ok, it's not a cutting edge Android or indeed Bada handset, but the Samsumg Champ has all the style, but is unlikely to come with the big price tag.

Also known as the C3300K, this slimline number has a 2.4-inch touchscreen and the maker's TouchWiz Lite UI for showing off those all-important widgets, throwing in a stylus pen if you want to give your fingers a day off.

Other features of note include a 1.3-megapixel camera, video playback, a music (MP3) player, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1, Edge connectivity and a microSD slot for bumping up the storage.

So pretty much an entry-level handset, but with enough about it to cover all your everyday mobile and networking essentials. Look out for it from June in the UK, price still to be confirmed, but expected to be at the low end of the market.
