O2 is continuing its relationship with Palm after announcing it will be selling both the Palm Pre Plus and the Palm Pixi Plus from 28 May (which also happens to be the launch date of a certain Apple iPad). It follows the original Palm Pre which was sold exclusively through the operator. Both handsets will be available from free on contract, both in O2 stores and online at www.o2.co.uk.
The Pre Plus and Pixi Plus both run on Palm's webOS which enables multiple applications to be run simultaneously, while Palm Synergy integrates all manner of information including social networking updates into one single view. Customers of either device will be able to pimp up their handsets with an array of applications from the Palm App Catalog.
Palm will be hoping both handsets prove more popular than the original Palm Pre, which despite drawing praise from the tech media, failed to hit the right note with the general public.
