Add one more to the elite Android 2.1 club - though the Motorola Milestone is the first Android phone to actually get the 2.1 update.
This latest version of the Android software adds the option to have three, five, seven or nine customisable homescreens, multi-touch in Google Maps, animated wallpapers, 3D album art, integrated Facebook, and most excitingly, the same voice-to-text feature we saw in the Google Nexus One.
Any text field is now voice enabled, so you can do anything from instruct the phone to 'search for pizza' in the Google Maps search bar, or dictate an email to your email client.
This makes the Milestone only the second phone with this feature - along with the Google Nexus One - despite the HTC Desire and Legend also sporting Android 2.1 software.
Meanwhile, Sony Ericsson has announced a 2.1 update will be available for its heavily customised Xperia X10 by year end, while poor old HTC Hero owners are still waiting for the 2.1 upgrade promised to land in April.
If you're a UK Milestone owner, you can now download it here.
