Fennec for Android arrives

Mozilla has just announced that a pre-alpha build version of the Fennec web browser has been released for phones using the Android operating system. For those willing to take a punt, the program should work on your Android handset. However, the company has admitted that it has only actually tested the program on the Motorola Droid and the Google Nexus. The program is only usable on phones running Android 2.0 or later.

In addition to the browser, the company has also released an early Android version of the syncing program, Weave, that is compatible with the Fennec program.

If you’re interested you download the program here or type in bit.ly/fennec-android on your phone's browser. Just download it using your phone's browser and then click on it in the downloads list to install it. Finally, there’s  a temporary group on Google which will handle feedback here.
