It’s taken a wee bit of detective work but it looks like LG (which has announced the LG Surf 4GB and revealed the Optimus handsets), may be on the verge of announcing a new series of mobile phones based upon the Android operating system. The evidence comes from the Intomobile website and a not particulary photogenic picture of the included User Agent profile which focuses on a new design apparently called the LG P950. Needless to say, the proposed phone has not been confirmed to exist by LG, never mind announced.
According to the UA details, the new phone will feature a WVGA screen packing in 800 x 480 pixels and will include HSDPA / HSUPA for fast data transfers. An included browser will be included based on a Webkit variant.
Other details are, for now, unavailable as is a proposed release date, distribution, price and so on. However, when we find out more, we’ll pass it onto you.
