The LG Cookie Music, which was revealed in the middle of March alongside the LG Pure and the LG GT405, appears to have experienced a name change to the LG Surf 4GB and has been introduced into the European market with an initial launch into Italy.
The LG Surf 4GB arrives with a WQVGA touchscreen spanning 3in. Based upon a S-Class user interface, the Surf 4GB also includes a HSDPA facility for fast data transfer plus a 5-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.1. Music fans will be happy to learn that the chassis holds a 3.5mm headphone socket and that 4GB of internal memory along with a microSD card slot to boost it still further. The highlight on the audio front, however, is the inclusion of Dolby Mobile technology to cut down on distortion and extraneous noise.
According to the GSM Arena website, the new LG phone will be out this month for €199. A UK release seems likely but no fixed release date has been announced.
