Virgin Media is going hard on the mobile internet tariffs, with a brand new set of Pay Monthly and SIM-only plans that start at just £20 for unlimited net and texts.
This tariff is for SIM-only customers and also includes 800 minutes. Or for just £10, you can grab a SIM with 200 minutes and unlimited texts.
But if you want a SIM and a phone, check out the Pay Monthly tariffs - a £25/month, 24-month tariff can get you a free phone with unlimited texts, web and calls to other Virgin phones.
Virgin Media has also pared down on the pay-monthly tariffs available, with the base tariff being £10/month on 18-month and 24-month contracts, allowing customers to reduce cost by £5 by choosing a longer contract, or get a shorter contract by paying £5 more a month.
Customers of Virgin's other services such as broadband and home phone will get an extra discount too, with the recently announcd free landline calls to Virgin mobiles, or 8p calls to any other UK numbers, as well as tariffs that are £5 cheaper than the general public can get them for. For example, one of Virgin's new high-end contract phones, the HTC Desire (video here), would be available free with a £25 contract, versus the standard £30.
The new tariffs are available from April 1.
