Dual SIM mobile phones, like the recently released Samsung B5722, tend not to have the popularity they deserve. Featuring two SIMs in the same chassis means that you can have two phone numbers: one for work and another for your personal life, for example. For those who wish to investigate further have a look at two new designs from LG and Alcatel.
The LG GX500 is a well designed touchscreen phone, the company’s third such dual SIM handset to date. It includes Wi-Fi, a 3in display squeezing in a WQVGA resolution plus Bluetooth. Music fans will be happy to see a music player and a FM radio. There is also a 3-megapixel camera and a 15000mAh battery, according to the Ubergizmo website.
The Alcatel is a wholly budget affair presented in a simple candybar chassis. The Alcatel C60 includes large keypad and a camera of unknown specification. Little more is known about the phone.
No further price, distribution or release date details are known.
