Orange has bagged themselves the exclusive white edition of the much hyped Sony Ericsson X10, the manufacturer's first Google Android device. O2 is already set to ship the device, but whereas they can only offer their customers the black version, Orange will offer both black and white. Available for free on a range of selected pay monthly contracts from early April, customers can register their interest today by visiting http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/xperia-x10.
Not only is the X10 Sony Ericsson's first delve into the Android market, it is also the first handset to feature Sony Eric's Timescape and Mediascape applications. Timescape helps bring together all your correspondents into one place, including emails, texts, social networks and even photos, while Mediascape cleverly pulls any music, photos and videos from the likes of YouTube and PlayNow. However, our favourite feature is the intelligent face recognition which can recognize up to five faces in any one shot before cleverly cottoning on to the fact they are in your social phonebook, and thus syncing that photograph with that contact.
