If you were at all into old cameras, you'll know why we love the Hipstamatic app so. This genius new iPhone app apes the classic 80s Hipstamatic cam and allows you to take awesomely vintage lookin images.
Hipstamatic loads a variety of (digital) lenses and flashes onto the iPhone's camera, allowing you to take faded, discoloured, and otherwise cool analogue-looking images. You can also 'switch film' for black and white or sepia images. Like plastic toy cameras from the olden days, the resultant look is slightly grimy, not quite predictable and frankly, pretty gorgeous.
The app even outfits the iPhone camera with a black, pockmarked interface just like the surfaces on cameras of yore.
For the camera buffs, the app comes with the John S Lens, the Jimmy Lens, the Kaimal Mark II Lens, the Standard Flash, the Dreampop Flash, Ina's 1969 Film, and Kodot Verichrome Film. You can kit out the app with more add-ons for different film, lenses and flashes.
