After news of the Storm2 and power apps has reached us, Research in Motion, responsible for the Blackberry line of mobile phones, is now apparently developing a new Blackberry phone that will incorporate a sliding QWERTY keyboard in a similar vein to the Palm Pre.
According to the BGR website, details are scant and RIM has not officially announced the new design. However, it is believed that the slider will feature Wi-Fi for the wireless connection to the Internet and a touchscreen packing in 260 x 480 pixels. It is also thought that the new phone will run on top of the new Blackberry v6.0 operating system.
There is also speculation that this design is the culmination of the earlier rumours of Blackberry Magnum and Dakota designs. Others wonder if this new phone is also the final incarnation of the rumoured Storm slider.
Whatever it is, we will pass on more details about it when we received them.
