The Samsung Wave mobile phone has only just be officially announced at the recently held MWC 2010 show in Spain but now it appears that the bada-based handset will be the world's first phone to receive the latest version of the Picsel File Viewer software.
For those scratching their heads wondering what it's all about, the Picsel software is a useful app that supports Microsoft's Office suite of programs including Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as Adobe's PDF. It will offer a faster panning speed, multiple page views, faster zooming, continuous page scrolling and more.
The bada-based Samsung Wave S8500 features a WVGA Super AMOLED display, HSPA for fast data transfers, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, a 5-megapixel camera with an autofocus facility and HD recording plus a 1GHz CPU. It also arrives with 2GB of internal memory with a maximum of 8GB boosted by a microSD port.
