Motorola Zeppelin now Quench

Motorola has had a slightly subdued time at the MWC 2010 show with just a single mobile phone announcement to make. Nevetheless, the Quench mobile phone is of great interest. Previously known as the Zeppelin, the new handset will be based upon the Android 1.5 operating system - the company's eighth global entry into the Android market.

The new phone will include a 3.1in touchscreen at HVGA resolution complete with pinch and zoom facilities, a navigation pad, HSDPA for fast data transfers, Wi-Fi, GPS for location finding, a digital compass, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone socket. A microSD card slot will be included to increase the internal memory while a built in camera will be specified at 5-megapixels. It will feature autofocus and a LED flash.

Featured software will include a WebKit browser, Adobe Flash Lite and a virtual QWERTY keyboard.
