Due to be revealed by Microsoft at the forthcoming MWC 2010 mobile show, which starts on Monday (15 February) in Barcelona, Windows Mobile 7 has been the subject of a host of rumours - not least about when it might be released. Well, now more rumours have appeared.
According to the MS Mobiles website, Microsoft is planning to offer a free navigation module within the operating system. Nokia recently announced that all of its new Symbian phones would provide free navigation and Android 2.0 and upwards is doing a similar job (at least, in the USA). Of course, Microsoft is keeping its mouth shut on the matter and there are no indications as to what system Microsoft might use and whether it has cuddled up to the likes of Tom Tom or Garmin to provide the suitable content. We will see.
Additional rumours declare that the Windows Mobile 6.x variants may also receive a similar free navigation system.
