Reports have been received, which suggests that Microsoft will not only be announcing the forthcoming launch of its much discussed Windows Mobile 7 operating system but will also be announcing its new Zune phone, at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2010 show in Barcelona, Spain on 15-18 February.
According to the Gizmodo website, the new Zune phone will also be based upon Nvidia's new Tegra chip, which is already working well within Microsoft's Zune HD media player. The Tegra is a low power chip that allows the use of high resolution 3D graphics.
Observers say the new Zune phone will run on top of Windows 7, will include a WVGA touch-screen of 480x800 pixels and will feature Wi-Fi for the wireless connection to the internet plus an HDMI video output.
We'll pass on more news when we get it.
