Billed as being environmentally friendly, Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new addition to their GreenHeart range, and it’s a Windows Mobile device. The Sony Ericsson Aspen runs on the latest Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system and sports both a full QWERTY keyboard and a touch-screen. Being a business phone, users will be able to view and edit office files as well as stay in the loop via the push email system embedded on the device. Similar to that of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia range, consumers can customise the panels on their screen to change during the day. A swipe of the finger will also enable access to your most commonly used features. Should you have the misfortune of losing your phone or having it stolen, via the Microsoft MyPhone service users can remotely erase their phone data, while the Aspen is also fitted with A-GPS, Google Maps and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
As for its green credentials, these include an E-manual (thus saving paper), a power saving mode, a host of applications concerning the environment while the charger, handsfree kit and box are all made from recyclable materials. Sony Ericsson Aspen will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Iconic Black and White Silver.
