Mozilla has been a busy bunny. In addition to the alpha version of its Firefox browser for Windows (Alpha 1 version), the company has announced that the Maemo version has now reached a final release standard, moving onwards from the earlier announced RC1 version, Firefox for Maemo, brags Mozilla, offers most of the facilities that you will find on a desktop version such as weave-sync to sync browsing information between your mobile and your desktop, over 40 available add-ons, the cheekily titled Awesome Bar which includes intelligent searching, location-aware browsing to access maps relative to your location, safe browsing that accesses website IDs and allows security modifications, desktop synchronization and support for more than 30 languages. If you own a Nokia N900, download the program from http://firefox.com/m.
Android users should also perk up with the news that a beta version for their phones should be made available during February. Basically completed since December, the program will be "usable" next month.
