Sony Ericsson has rather taken everyone by surprise by officially announcing the launch of its Kurara U5 mobile phone. Normally, companies tend to announce an announcement. In this case, the manufacturer has surprised us all.
Another surprise (well, maybe not by much) is the renaming of the handset so that it will now be known as the Sony Ericsson Vivaz.
Running the Symbian touch operating system, the new design will arrive with WVGA resolution, fast data transfer via HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS plus a 3.5mm headphone socket. The included camera will offer a healthy 8.1-megpixels along with an LED flash plus 720p HD video recording.
According to the Phone Arena website, the new phone will be available in four space-age colours: Cosmic Black, Silver Moon, Venus Ruby and Galaxy Blue.
Expect a first quarter release. No final price or official distribution news were revealed .
