More information is circulating regarding the forthcoming release of Microsoft's new operating system, Windows Mobile 7. It appears that the new OS will arrive in two distinct flavours: Windows Phone Seven Business Edition (BE) and Windows Phone Seven Media Edition (ME).
BE will be a stripped version of the OS, specifically supplied so that businesses can modify it and add their own customisations along with advanced syncing and multi-user access, according to the WM Experts website.
ME will be for the rest of us and may include HD video along with integration to Microsoft's own Zune, TV streaming, a new GPS system called Orion plus other utilities such as Xbox Live, Silverlight, Mediaroom and social networking integration. Formal release dates are unknown at the moment.
