Nokia launches N900 Ovi Store

Nokia has announced that a new wing of its Ovi Store has reached a beta version aimed, specifically, at at the Maemo 5 operating system and, of course, the Nokia N900 mobile device.

 

A variety of games and applications have been created for the system including AP Mobile (from The Associated Press), that offers, "anytime access to international, national and local news." In addition, you, "...can choose if they want to receive news from a variety of categories such as 'Top News', 'Technology' or 'Wacky'."

 

Another app is Qik - a live streaming video system - which features a new interface. Features include, "...adding a title or adjusting the privacy settings."

 

Another app is Pixelpipe that allows you to publish text, video, audio files and photos. As well as offering a way to upload images over the air to social networks and online content sites.
