Sony Ericsson fans who have been camping outside their favourite mobile phone shop in the (melting) snow, hoping to see a glint from the touchscreen of the Xperia X10 should be advised to refill those hot flasks. It's going to be a long wait - March, in fact.
The company's first Android handset, which observers say will be priced at €550, packs a 4in screen at a WVGA resolution, a nippy 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, fast HSPA data transfer, GPS for location finding, Wi-Fi for wireless Internet connectivity, a 8-megapixel camera with autofocus abilities and a 3.5mm headphone port for music fans plus Sony Ericsson's own Timescape and Mediascape software according to the SEMC Blog website.
Observers say that the proposed included Android v1.6 OS may now be upgraded to version 2.0. However, considering the glitches that this version has been experiencing, we hope that means v2.1.
