Dell Android phone due for UK launch

It's been a long and sometimes troublesome journey for Dell and its mobile ambitions but it looks like a Dell mobile phone will finally make its appearance into the UK market - the first European territory to see the design.

Known as the Dell Mini 3i, the phone has already appeared in China, Brazil and the USA, which makes Dell's official declaration to the Electric Pig website, at the CES show in Las Vegas, that the phone 'was built specifically with the UK in mind', a little odd.

Still, many will welcome the mobile wing of the company to these shores. Based upon the Android OS, the phone will include a 3.5-inch touch-screen, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD support to increase the internal memory and a three-megapixel camera with autofocus.

It is possible that all the major UK operators will feature the phone as all are taking part in active negotiations for the new phone.
