RIM?s PowerPoint solution

Having mastered the mobile email arena, RIM has turned its attention to improving the art of PowerPoint presentations.

The BlackBerry Presenter is a compact and lightweight device that can be plugged into a projector or monitor, enabling a BlackBerry smartphone to control it remotely.

Consumers will be able to change slides as well as view their notes discreetly, thanks to the ability to read one slide on the phone while displaying another via the projector. It of course means that you'll be able to leave your laptops at home and, as long as you remain within the 30 feet proximity to the projector or monitor, you'll be free to roam around the room.

The BlackBerry Presenter will be showcased at CES in Las Vegas this week, before arriving at ShopBlackBerry.com for $199, followed by other authorised dealers and retail stores.
