After its recent Corby and Lindy adventures, Samsung has just launched two new slider mobile phones into the Spanish market with other European territories likely to follow. Both have similar looking designations and, if you're not careful, you can easily mistake one for the other. Known as the Samsung 5550 and the Samsung 5500 (see what we mean?), both appear to be aimed at the mid-range and budget markets.
The Samsung S5550 will include a high quality AMOLED display packing in a QVGA resolution plus a music player and social networking facilities that will support MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. A good specification camera will also be included, rated at five-megapixels. It will be supplied with a flash, according to the Mobilewhack website.
The other phone, the S5500, will include a high speed HSDPA data transfer facility, a 2.2 inch TFT screen with QVGA resolution plus a music player and a decently rated 3.2-megapixel camera.
