News has reached us that Samsung is about to launch an upgrade to the popular Corby S3650 mobile phone.
The enhanced handset is being re-released because the company has decided to add Wi-Fi to the specs. The phone will now be known as the Samsung S3650W, according to its recently published WiFi Interoperability Certificate.
Observers expect the Wi-Fi equipped Corby to retain a touch-screen display at a resolution of QVGA and be based upon a quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. A low spec two-megapixel camera will be included and the phone will also be able to connect to a variety of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, according to the Samsung Hub website.
This is not the first time that Samsung has retrofitted a Wi-Fi facility to an existing handset. It did the same to the Star S5230, now known as the S5230W.
A release date has yet to be announced.
