For the first time ever iPhone and iPod touch users can make video calls to anywhere in the world with their devices. fring's mobile application means you'll not only be able to call loved ones this Christmas, no matter where they happen to be in the world, but also see them. Both the iPhone and iPod Touch follow in the footsteps of selected Nokia Symbian S60 devices which were announced as also being able to support video calls last week.
The video call feature is now embedded within the fring application and enables both free voice and video calls over a Wi-Fi connection to other fring users, Skype and GTalk buddies as well as friends on regular phone lines via Skype-Out and other SIP services. fring also allows users to chat, share files and update profiles with Instant Messaging Services such as MSN, AIM and GoogleTalk.
