Sony Ericsson has decided to remove the Satio mobile phone from the UK market because of a "software glitch".
In a statement, Sony Ericsson said that it has been, "...made aware that a small number of consumers have experienced software issues with its Satio handset when using certain applications. Sony Ericsson is giving this matter its utmost priority and is working toward solving it as soon as possible."
What exactly these software glitches are and what applications they refer to is currently unknown, according to the GSM Arena website. However, in the meantime, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U have decided to withdraw the model from their High St. shops although 3 still appears to have the phone on offer, at least via its website. You may still be able to find the mobile for sale in smaller independent outlets, however. What Sony Ericsson fail to offer, however, is any advice for current users of the phone.
It will be interesting to see if the problem is corrected before this side of Christmas.
