Nokia has announced that its Image Exchange service has been updated for those phones running the Symbian S60 operating system.
The update includes the introduction of new features plus the fixing of several bugs. More specifically, you will now experience notifications to inform you about actions relating to your images and contacts. For example, when a friend sends you an image or comments about an image you have sent to them or they to you.
The update includes support for something Nokia call 'Load balancing architecture' which handles changes to how connections are made, ultimately making it more responsive. You can download the utility here.
The Nokia development team did hint that a touchscreen version of the application is currently under development but there are no details regarding a release date on that.
Finally, the version of Nokia Image Exchange available in the Ovi Store, which is not the same version as that described above, has also received a measure of an upgrade that improves its stability.
