The popular iPhone app, Google Earth, has just been updated to version 2.0 complete with a range of new features and enhancements.
According to the Google development team, you can now 'view maps that you create on your desktop computer right from your iPhone, explore the app in new languages [along with] improved icon selection and performance'.
You can access your Google Maps account to create your own map and then annotate it. With the My Maps interface, you can also view maps that others have created. 'All you have to do is click "Save to My Maps", open Earth on the iPhone, log in with the same account information, and voilà, you have your same collection of My Maps right in your pocket,' said Google. You can learn more about My Maps here. The new upgrade supports 31 different languages.
