The HTC Touch Diamond2 handset can now be upgraded to the latest version of Microsoft's operating system, Windows Mobile 6.5.
Now that the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system is out and about, a variety of mobile phones which are currently utilising the older OS, Windows Mobile 6.1, are able to upgrade to the new standard - including the HTC Touch Diamond2.
The upgrade will be open to a variety of carriers of a number of European territories. Each has a designated version number - so, if you're about to upgrade your phone, make sure you have the correct version. For example, Denmark will have version 2.16.403.1 and Germany will access version 2.16.407.1. For the UK, you will need version 2.16.405.4, according to the WM Experts website.
HTC's website has all the download details but, before you begin, make sure that your phone battery is charged more than 50% before you start, as the upgrade takes 30 minutes to complete - we would recommend a full charge, to be on the safe side.
