Sony Ericsson is reported to be readying the announcement of two mobile phones, the long rumoured Rachael or X3 handset (to follow the recently launched X2) and a new design based upon the Symbian operating system.
The Rachael, also known as the X3 but now rumoured to possibly change to the X10 moniker, will be announced on November 3rd, according to observers. The clue is the 'What's Next' web page recently posted by Sony Ericsson. According to the SE Blog, who took time to examine the HTML code for this very page, the word 'Rachael' was mentioned twice.
Other news relates to a new smartphone handset based upon the Symbian S60 operating system. Apparently resembling the Satio in style, the new design will reportedly be known as the Kurara, featuring a touchscreen display of around 3.5in. The phone will apparently also feature a built in camera with an excellent specification of 8-megapixels. A second quarter 2010 release is expected.
