New images of the forthcoming Microsoft operating system, Windows Mobile 7, which is still in development, have been leaked onto the Internet.
The latest working operating system from Microsoft, Windows Mobile 6.5, has only just been officially announced supporting a range of new mobile phones but leaked images of the next version of the popular OS have already been spotted, despite the fact that version 7 is still a year away from its final release.
The new images provide the most up-to-date view onto the progress of the new system. The most obvious aspect is, in fact, a missing feature, the lack of a start button. This reflects Windows Mobile 7's intention to be an advanced touchscreen experience, according to the WMExperts website.
When viewing the images, reports say that the lower pair of images within each screenshot reflects what the WM7 screen will look like in the near future. At the moment, they are mock-ups for planning purposes.
