More rumours relating to new Sony Ericsson mobile phones under the Xperia moniker have emerged.
The latest news relating to the Xperia range of handsets, after the recent launch of the Xperia X2, is that the much rumoured X3 phone will finally emerge next year, according to the SEMC Blog website, which confirms earlier reports.
Apparently leaked by two Sony Ericsson employees, the news also states that the Xperia X3 will be announced in November and that the phone will undergo a name change from the X3 to the X10 (to reflect the year of release, perhaps?)
The latest list of specifications for the new X3 or X10 is that the phone will be based upon a new version of the Android operating system, version 2.0. It will arrive with a large, 4in, WVGA touchscreen and will be accompanied by a well specified camera rated at 8-megapixels. The word is that the new phone will also be powered by the rather nippy 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.
