A new video demo of the forthcoming Samsung i5700 Galaxy has appeared on the Internet presaging the phone's imminent release. The video includes the new phone in its black livery. There has been some talk, however, the the new handset is due for a rename to the unlikely moniker of 'Spica'. That move is unconfirmed, however.
Reports also say that the new design will feature the latest version of Android on board, version 1.6 - also known as Donut, according to the ai.rs Blog.
The Galaxy Lite includes a 3in touchscreen packing in 320 x 480 pixels. The phone, that also includes a TouchWiz user interface, supports GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA for fast data transfers. Other features include GPS, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 3.5mm headphone socket. Internal memory is restricted to just 200MB but can be expanded to a total of 32GB via a microSD card slot.
