Acer's R&D department has been busy. Following news of their Android Snapdragon phone and new beTouch range, Acer has now announced the neoTouch. As with the beTouch range, the neoTouch is a Windows mobile phone, with Microsoft Office Mobile onboard enabling editing of Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. However, the neoTouch is far more feature-heavy than either the beTouch E100, E101 or E200.
Sporting an impressively large 3.8-inch high-resolution touch-screen, the Acer neoTouch packs in HSDPA, Wi-Fi and a powerful Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor. There's also a five-megapixel camera along with A-GPS to cater for your navigational needs. The neoTouch also integrates your social network contacts into your phonebook meaning giving you the choice of calling, texting, emailing or 'poking' your friends and family from one easy to view screen.
There's no word on an on sale date or pricing but we expect it to arrive in the next month or so.
