The second-gen Storm, which has been repeatedly confirmed and painstakingly documented in photo and video, is finally here and will launch on Vodafone.
It's a 3G, GPS-enabled touch-screen smartphone with Wi-Fi, a 3.2-megapixel camera and new BlackBerry operating system 5.0, making it the most high-spec 'Berry on the market. It's also the next-gen follow up to the first ever touch-screen BlackBerry, the Storm, whose screen was no iPhone-style swipeable display, but rather, a screen you actually depressed.
This 'clicky' touch-screen was a point of contention for many, and if the rumours are to be believed, RIM has totally rejigged it to be pure awesome.
It's a 3.25-incher at any rate, with a high-res 360x480pixels display.
Vodafone UK will be offering the BlackBerry Storm2 free from £35 per month on a 24-month contract with 600 minutes, unlimited BlackBerry Internet Service, unlimited texts, as well as unlimited access to VMI (Vodafone Mobile Internet) and broadband.
We'll be seeing the device firsthand at exactly noon today - we'll bring you videos and hands-on pix then. In the meantime, have a peek at the official promo video.
