HTC has already officially announced the European launch of the new HD2 (formerly the Leo) mobile phone but now more specific UK details have emerged.
According to the Clove Blog website, the official release date for the UK will be 11 November at a price for an unlocked sample of £469 (ex VAT). Observers have declared that O2 is likely to receive the first samples.
The HD2 is one of the most richly specified mobile phones that HTC has ever produced. Running on a fast 1GHz Snapdragon processor and Windows Mobile 6.5, the HD2 will sport a large, 4.3in touchscreen display at WVGA resolution. This quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA / HSUPA machine will also support Wi-Fi, GPS and Facebook and Twitter integration. Music fans will be delighted to see the 3.5mm headphone port. You also get 448MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, MicroSD card support and a 1230 mAh battery.
