There's no stopping Virgin Media who win this award for a ninth consecutive yearWe asked, you answered, gushed forth, and in some cases - complained. Just which operator ponied up the absolute best for customer service, from smiling through gritted teeth to giving you exactly what you were after when you didn't even know it? Virgin Media's mobile customer service didn't just win by a long way; it won for the ninth year running. We just hope there's enough space in the back room for all those trophies. A couple of years ago, this Award was a really close one. Well, not in 2009. Virgin Media tore ahead of everyone else in the eyes of our readers, and we have to admit that we were impressed too - from the UK's lowest tariff at £8.50, to the absolutely inspired call back text service for customers who've run out of credit and really need to make a call.


Virgin Media is one of the funkier mobile operators and it shows in its marketing campaigns and super nice staff. All service teams receive training to help them pre-empt everything a customer might need to know, before they even think of it themselves. 'Give more than what you're asked for' is the motto, and when you consider that Virgin's sprawling call centre in Trowbridge also hosted Children in Need and Comic Relief as a donation point, you just have to applaud it. And you did.
