After announcing the TG01 phone, Toshiba has showcased three new mobile designs at the Cutting Edge IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition (CEATEC) 09 show in Japan.
The three new mobile designs all have one thing in common - the large amount of display space that they offer. For example, the Toshiba K01 provides a large, 4.1in, touchscreen display that forms part of a sliding form factor. Underneath is a full QWERTY keyboard. The K01 is based upon Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows Mobile 6.5. Measuring around 15mm thick, the WM Poweruser website believes that the new mobile will be officially announced before the end of this year.
Accompanying the K01 is the Toshiba K02 that features two displays - with one reportedly supporting WVGA resolution. This new phone is also based upon Windows Mobile 6.5 and features a 10-key keyboard. Expect a release during 2010.
The final phone, the L01, supports a large chassis holding a 7in screen of WVGA resolution, running Windows Mobile 6.5. It will be launched during 2010.
