Acer has revealed that it will be changing the name of many of its, soon to be released, mobile phones.
Apparently, the name changes will be targeted towards those phones that will be supporting the new Microsoft operating system, Windows Mobile 6.5.
For the UK market, this means that at least four mobile phones will experience a complete monicker shift. For example, the much talked about Acer F1 will now be known as the Acer neoTouch, Acer C1's name will be changed to the Acer beTouch E100, the Acer E1 will undergo a name change to the Acer beTouch E101 while the Acer L1 will now be launched as the Acer beTouch E200, according to the Clove Blog website.
All of the above smartphones are due to be launched into the UK next week. Prices will range from €200 for the beTouch E101 which doesn't include 3G to €370 for the Snapdragon-powered F1 / neoTouch.
